working for common good
Advocacy & politics
Justice is the bedrock of a flourishing, moral society. Without it, no one is safe. At MAB, we’re committed to the pursuit of justice and social wellbeing on a national and global scale. As active members of British society, our voice matters and that’s why we work to positively influence decisions within political, economic, and social institutions.
What we’re doing
-
We educate the public
We provide courses, lectures and accessible information on current affairs. This includes teaching our communities about human rights issues, as well as promoting political awareness. We want our communities to understand how national and international policies, laws and events effect their well-being and the well-being of humanity. The more me know, the more we’re able to help.
-
We mobilise the community
We work to promote collective action through the facilitation of petitions, protests and strategic roundtable discussions. Whether we’re battling domestic issues like the rising cost of living or human rights abuses in Palestine, our initiatives encourage action and unity with the wider British community.
-
We Lobby government
We work in partnership with other advocacy organisations to hold meetings and discussions with government representatives and MPs to positively influence legislation. Our aim is to represent those in need by making sure their rights and concerns are accurately made clear to those in power.
