About

The Muslim Association of Britain

The Muslim Association of Britain is a British organisation established in November 1997, dedicated to serving society through promoting Islam in its spiritual teachings, ideological and civilising concepts, and moral and human values—all placed in the service of humanity. It seeks to convey these by reaching out to people using high standards of communication (the good word) and offering logically-grounded argument (proof), following the command of Allah, the Almighty: “Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom, good advice, and reason in the best manner” (…)

The Muslim Association of Britain works hand in hand with sister Muslim organisations, civic institutions, and political bodies to achieve the positive integration of Muslims in the wider British society. The Muslim Association of Britain cooperates with others in tackling the complex and intractable issues affecting our society like drug addiction, rising crime, failure in education, the spread of racism and Islamophobia, and violence—whether organised or individual, regardless of its motives. The Muslim Association of Britain from a prominent position supports the just causes and demands in the world. The Muslim Association of Britain also contributes in outreach to people of other faiths, encouraging dialogue and cooperation between religions… etc.

The Muslim Association of Britain is a founding member of the Mosques and Imams National Advisory Body (MINAB)—an independent body recently established as an initiative by different Muslim organisations. MINAB seeks to develop and improve working standards in mosques and Islamic centres, as well as training Imams and developing their skills.

The Muslim Association of Britain seeks to realise its goals through its various organisational units; most importantly, Youth and Students, Women, Media, Public Relations, Education, Dawah, and Scouts. The Muslim Association of Britain has 12 branches covering Britain ’s main cities, and is constantly engaged in scrutinising its work with the aim of improving and developing it further.
